Ian MacIntosh B.Comm., LL.B., ICD.D
Mr. MacIntosh is the President and a Director of Loch Moigh Capital Inc., a private strategic investment firm. He is a former Partner of the national law firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, serving a number of years as the firm’s National Practice Group Leader for their Public-Private Partnership practice and maintaining a broad business law practice for many years. He has been involved in numerous business transactions nationally and internationally and has acted as lead counsel on many very large and complex public-private partnership transactions across Canada.
In addition to his practice at Blakes, Mr. MacIntosh has been Vice President and General Counsel for bcIMC, overseeing all legal needs of the organization. He is currently a director and the former Chairman of the prestigious Vancouver Academy of Music and is a director and Chair of the Governance Committee of the Richmond Hospital Foundation. Mr. MacIntosh has also served on numerous other community and charitable boards.
Mr. MacIntosh has both a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta. He also holds the ICD.D. designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Brian Kenning, MBA
Mr. Kenning is a corporate director currently serving on the boards of West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd., MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd., British Columbia Ferry Services, UBC Investment Management, and Royal Oak Ventures Incorporated.
From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Kenning was a Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management, one of Canada’s largest real estate companies, which is also involved in asset management and the power generation sector. From 1988 to 1995, Mr. Kenning was Chairman and Managing Partner of B.C. Pacific Capital Corporation, a Brookfield affiliate, active in merchant banking and investing. Over the past ten years, Mr. Kenning has served as a director of a number of private and public corporations including British Columbia Railway Company and Catalyst Paper Corporation.
In addition, Mr. Kenning is a past governor of the B.C. Business Council, a past director of the B.C. Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, has served as Board Chairman of St. George’s School (1998-2000), Board Chairman of Brentwood College School (1990-1995) and Chairman of the BC Cancer Foundation (2005-2007).
Mr. Kenning graduated from Queen’s University with an MBA in 1973.
His experience is instrumental in our corporate governance at Adventus, and he also plays a crucial role in our goals to profitably grow Adventus.
Mr. Kenning serves as a Director of both the Manager and the trustee of the Trust.
Ron Anderson, CPA, CGA
Mr. Anderson founded Tallinn Capital in 1999 where he is currently the President of the company. Mr. Anderson has over 30 years experience in finance, banking and mergers and acquisitions in Western Canada, including a senior position in BC with a major Canadian bank.
Mr. Anderson is a Board member of Mainstreet Equities Corp. (MEQ - TSX), a Canadian-based real estate company focused on acquisition, redevelopment, repositioning and management of mid-market rental apartment buildings in five major Canadian markets including Vancouver/Lower Mainland, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and the Greater Toronto Area.
Mr. Anderson is a Governor and past Treasurer of Crofton House School, a Board member of The Nature Trust of British Columbia, and has been a director of a number of public and private companies.
Mr. Anderson has a B.Comm from the University of British Columbia and is a CGA.
His experience with REITs and the capital markets is instrumental in guiding Adventus forward.
Mr. Anderson serves as a Director of both the Manager and the trustee of the Trust.
Rodney B. Johnston, FCPA, FCA
Greg Cameron, FCPA, FCA
Greg Cameron recently retired as CEO of Noralta Lodge Ltd., a 4800 room lodging business primarily in Ft. McMurray Alberta, serving the oilsands industry.
Prior to taking the position of CEO at Noralta Lodge, from 1996 to 2008, Mr. Cameron was a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and its predecessor organizations.
From 2005 to 2011, Mr. Cameron served as a trustee of the Alberta Cancer Foundation where he was also chair of the audit and finance committee from 2007 to 2011. From 2007 to 2013, Mr. Cameron was a director of the Edmonton Petroleum Golf and Country Club where he served as president from 2010 and 2011.
Mr. Cameron has also lectured extensively for the Canadian Tax Foundation, Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, University of Alberta, and the Alberta Bar Association.
Mr. Cameron obtained his CA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 1985 and was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 2014. During his tenure leading Noralta Lodge Ltd., he has been instrumental in significantly growing the company over the past five years.
Adventus has significant growth goals and Mr. Cameron’s input and direction will help Adventus achieve those goals.
Mr. Cameron serves as Chairman of both the Manager and the trustee of the Trust.
Randy Waites, CPA (Ill.), MBA
Based in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Waites is a Principal and Managing Director at Avison Young, and is responsible for the Asset Services Group across the company.
Prior to joining Avison Young, he was a Senior Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in Chicago, and the Chief Operating Officer for John Buck International Properties, LLC, in Abu Dhabi. Previously, Mr. Waites served as the Executive Vice President of Prime Group Realty Trust which at the time was a NYSE publicly traded REIT. Mr. Waites also serves on the advisory board for Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University, in Chicago.
Mr. Waites is a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois), and obtained his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Glendale, Arizona, and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Illinois State University.
